We have a variety of Sunday School Classes that meet on Sunday mornings from 10:00-10:45am. The classes vary from lecture to discussion to book studies and cover all age groups and stages of life.

On Wednesday nights (August-May), we have programs for children, youth, and adults from 6:00-7:00pm. If you would like to bring your dinner with you before programs begin, tables are available around the gym floor from 5:15-6:00pm. For adults, we have the following groups, which are open for joining at any time:

  • a Chapel study with Doug Fairbanks focusing on the 30 Doctrines Preached by John the Baptizer

  • a community group for men in the Parlor with John Redmond working through In the Name of Jesus by Henry Nouwen

  • a community group for women in the Gathering Place with Amanda Onks discussing The Next Right Thing by Emily P. Freeman

We also have small groups that offer unique opportunities to grow in grace through interaction and study (either heavy-duty or light). We meet people we might otherwise never cross paths with in a large church, and we are blessed by new and enduring friendships. We have these small groups available:

  • Our Men’s Bible Study meets on Tuesday evenings in the Parlor at 6:30pm and journeys through different studies together. They are currently studying the Sermon on the Mount.

  • Our Men’s Prayer Group meets each Wednesday morning at 8:00am in the Parlor. They take turns leading a devotion with the group and share life and prayer requests together.

  • The Wayne Anderson’s Men’s Bible Study meets every Thursday at 6:30am in the CLC Meeting Room. A time for scripture and prayer are offered, and you will be out of the door by 7:30am to begin your day.

  • UMW Circle 5 meets the fourth Monday each month at 7:00pm via Zoom to work together in service and to discuss a book they’ve read.

We are always thankful for new small groups that emerge, which can focus on study, fellowship, hands-on projects, and much more. To join a group, ask questions, or share ideas, please contact our Executive Director of Programs and Ministries, Amanda Onks (423-461-8070, ext. 220 or amanda@munsey.org).
