5th and 6th Graders
WELCOME TO HWY 56!
HWY 56 is our ministry for tweens in 5th and 6th grades. Our HWY 56 programming is designed to bridge the gap between the elementary years and the youth department at Munsey, providing our students with opportunities for continued learning and fellowship with one another.
Our fifth and sixth graders gather in Room 210 during Sunday School for their own time of fellowship and Bible Study. Under the guidance of a dedicated team of teachers, students address questions that are relevant to them at their stage in life, and learn how to turn to the Bible for answers and wisdom.
Our 5th and 6th graders meet on Sunday afternoons from 4:00 to 6:00 pm (unless otherwise stated) for various activities, including off-site trips, on- and off- site mission projects, Bible study, fellowship opportunities, and lots of fun!
Wednesdays are a special time at Munsey! August through May we connect over delicious meals, then participate in studies or activities for all ages during Wednesday Matters.
Along with fun and friendships, our Wednesday Matters discipleship and music activities for children provide building blocks for a relationship with Christ that will sustain them throughout their lives.
Activities for 5th & 6th Graders
From 6:00- 6:30pm, 5th and 6th graders meet for HWY 56 choir. Our HWY 56 choir presents a musical each year, leads in worship through songs during the year, and typically enjoys a mini-choir tour and Carowinds trip in the spring.
From 6:30- 7:00pm, 5th and 6th graders participate in Agape Bells, our HWY 56 handbell group. This group also shares in worship at various times during the year.
