there's a place for you at Munsey

Melting Pot

The Melting Pot Ministry offers the opportunity to serve not only our homeless population but also gives you an opportunity to be involved with the residents of John Sevier Residential housing.

On Wednesday nights, the John Sevier residents are invited to have Wednesday night fellowship with us and to have dinner. Welcoming them gives us an opportunity to ensure they are having fellowship and a good dinner.

On Sunday morning, the Melting Pot has worship services that begin at 11 am and gives us all an opportunity to participate by bringing snacks to serve, being a song leader or worship leader. There are opportunities for welcoming our Melting Pot community to worship, sharing in fellowship and bring Christ into their lives on a regular basis. Rich and Dori Gorman help to bring our John Sevier residents closer to us through prayer chains, worshipping with us on Sunday and being a part of our fellowship on Wednesday night.

On the third Sunday of each month, we host a Movie Matinee for our Melting Pot Community. We serve popcorn, drinks and lunch during this time. The fellowship shared during the matinee is simply awesome. Laughter, joy, friendship all under God’s roof.

Volunteer opportunities include welcoming our community at Sunday worship, welcoming on Wednesday nights, bringing baked goods for Sunday worship, helping to set up, serve and clean up for movie Sundays. For more information, contact our Director of Missions.
