Children's Music Ministry

Being a member of a children’s choir is an important part of a child’s development as a whole person. Our choirs focus on providing each child a connection with singing and playing music, with worship in the Church, with being a part of a group with a common purpose, and with service to others. The Children’s music ministry is an integral part of the full ministry of music at Munsey.

Our Children’s Choirs – The choirs meet as a part of the PrimeTime@Munsey Wednesday evening program of activities. The choirs sing regular for the various worship services of the congregation. A schedule is provided. The children’s rehearsal schedule thru April 16th is:

Wednesdays from 6:00-6:45pm, followed by their Clubhouse Kids rotation:

Cherub Choir (four and five year old children)
Chorister Choir (grades one thru three) Wednesdays from 6:20 -7:20pm
Chapel Choir (grades four and five) Wednesdays from 6:20-7:20pm
Cherub Choir – for children age 4 thru kindergarten (children should be 4 by the end of August.
Chorister Choir – for children in grades one thru three
Chapel Choir – for children in grades four and five.

Wednesdays from 5:40 to 6:20 pm:
Chimers I – first year ringers (primarily 4th grade) with no handbell ringing
Chimers II – second year ringers (5th grade) with at least one year of handbell ringing experience.

What does it mean to be a choir member?

o    Participation with regular attendance

o    Displaying a willing spirit to learn

o    Having a desire to be a worship leader

o    Showing respect for God’s house, other people, musical instruments, and the gift of music

o    Being a part of a team
